Demolition in the middle of an active campus.
At Princeton University, VOLLERS carried demolition across approximately 375,000 square feet and 12 buildings in the heart of campus, including dormitory and life science facilities. The work sat immediately beside active utilities and occupied high-rise dormitories, making protection and structural separation central to the job.
The scope included structural and selective demolition, slab and foundation removal, regulated waste collection and disposal, site surveying, and concrete circular and wire saw cutting.

Removal had to account for what stayed.
Some of the buildings scheduled for demolition stood only feet from occupied structures and active utilities. The demolition plan incorporated engineered structural separations and foundation reinforcement measures, including soil-nail applications, so removal could proceed while adjacent facilities remained in use.
VOLLERS coordinated and executed the demolition around those conditions, with the structures that remained continuing to operate beside the work zone.

Project Proof
Demolition across 12 buildings with active facilities close by.
Twelve-Building Demolition Scope
VOLLERS carried demolition across 12 buildings, including dormitory and life science facilities in the heart of the Princeton campus.
Engineered Structural Separation
The work required structural separation and foundation reinforcement where buildings being removed stood immediately beside structures that remained.
Active Utilities and Occupied Buildings
Demolition took place beside active utilities and occupied high-rise dormitories that remained in use during the work.
Specialty Demolition Support
Site surveying, concrete circular and wire saw cutting, and regulated waste collection and disposal were also part of the project scope.
Peak Field Resources
At peak production, the project used a 70-ton high-reach excavator, six additional demolition excavators, equipment operators, and a 25-person building-trade labor force.
