Teterboro Airport
Utilities and Public Infrastructure
A broad Sitework package shaped by wet ground, access, and environmental work.
At Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, VOLLERS carried the complete Sitework package for a new air traffic control tower.
The work brought together earthwork, utility installation, site concrete, roadways, parking, and environmental work on a site where wet conditions and difficult access affected how the project had to be built.

Earthwork, infrastructure, roads, and parking within one Sitework program.
The work brought together earthwork, utility installation, site concrete, roadways, parking, and environmental work on a site where wet conditions and difficult access affected how the project had to be built.
The value of the project as proof is the combination of that broad civil scope with the conditions of the site. Wet ground, access, infrastructure, and environmental work all had to be addressed within the same project.
Wet ground and difficult access shaped the work.
The new tower site was in a wet area with high groundwater and poor subsurface conditions. Access to the work also crossed an existing drainage channel, so getting crews, equipment, and materials to the tower area became part of the Sitework plan.
Those conditions had to be worked through while earthwork, infrastructure, and the rest of the site package moved forward.
The project also included separate wetlands work in another area. Access there was difficult enough that temporary routes had to be established over wet ground so trucks and equipment could move material in and out. The work included soil placement, removal of non-native vegetation, and new plantings.

Project Proof
Broad Sitework responsibility across a difficult site.
Complete Sitework responsibility
VOLLERS carried the broader civil package across earthwork, Utilities, site concrete, roads, parking, clearing, and access work.
Wet Ground and Subsurface Conditions
High groundwater and poor subsurface conditions affected how the tower site had to be accessed, prepared, and built.
Access and Site Logistics
Getting crews, equipment, and materials to the tower area required planning around an existing drainage crossing while the broader Sitework program continued.
Wetlands Work
A separate wetlands scope brought additional access, soil, vegetation, and planting work into the overall project.
